Story of Miles didn’t begin with a business plan. It began with a family that could never quite sit still.
I’ve spent my life on the basketball court — and I still do. I play as a veteran in women’s basketball, because some things you never really retire from. But sport was only ever half of the story.
I grew up following my father’s footsteps. He is a craftsman who builds wooden staircases, and the smell of freshly cut timber has always felt like home. My grandmother was a well-known artist and painter. Between the two of them, I was pulled in three directions at once — toward sport, toward art, and toward making things with my hands. I studied industrial engineering, quietly certain that one day I would bring all three together.
The hands behind every display

The idea took shape when our children were born. I started small, making wooden souvenirs — little handmade keepsakes, crafted at our kitchen table. One idea led to another, and slowly those souvenirs grew into something bigger: a real workshop, and then a manufacturing company built around a single product we truly believed in — medal displays that finally give your achievements a place to live.
Along the way my husband joined me, and today we run it together. What started as a small idea has grown into an international business — but its heart hasn’t changed. Every display is still touched by human hands. Nothing leaves our workshop that we haven’t shaped, sanded and checked ourselves.

These aren’t mass-produced racks; they are handmade medal displays, each one carrying a little of our story so that it can hold yours. Whether you’re a runner, a triathlete, or an athlete of any kind, your medals tell a story worth showing. And if your sport — or your idea — doesn’t fit the ones on our shelves, we love creating custom pieces too. Just tell us what you have in mind.
We would genuinely love to hear from you: hello@storyofmiles.com.
